Rowan tree printmaking block
This is a piece of reclaimed hardwood (ex flooring, I think) from the hackspace woodpile - I used the laser cutter to etch a design into it, and then carved it out by hand. The design is from one of my own digital photos, manipulated using free & open-source software. Soon I’ll ink it up and pull some prints!

By Wednesday evening we accomplished the following: installed a tool board from an old...

Things in the junk pile
I was digging around in the junk collection and found some 1960’s filament displays: There’s also a 3 digit neon display and some 4bit to hex single digit led displays, plus a wide assortment of 7 segment led’s.

The London Hackspace as a Self-Describing Space
By late August 2010 the London Hackspace had turned into a self-describing space: post-it notes, stickers, labels, whiteboards and other improvised signs, written by different people using different pens/pencils, explaining or commenting on some detail of the space. More on Flickr.
